Ramtron is looking for a recent college graduate for a Quality/Reliability Engineer I position. In this role, the candidate will be expected to contribute actively to the ongoing improvement of the reliability of our products.  Will be responsible for coordinating and driving reliability testing, performing tests and providing interpretation on test results to the engineering teams.  This candidate will work closely with engineering teams to understand root cause and failure mechanism and explore potential solutions to improve reliability.  Will operate in a matrix environment with a team of engineers from different functional teams and work closely with other technical and business functions.  Strong engineering and teamwork skills are essential.

The core responsibilities include: create reliability test plans/set up test stations/perform necessary tests; perform reliability predictions on products/report data and highlight reliability results to cross-functional team; execute the reliability qualification plan by driving external labs and leveraging internal resources; perform root cause analysis and failure mechanism study; apply metrics for monitoring the field reliability performance and dynamically act on the findings with corrective actions using best-in-class methodologies (8D, fishbone, 6 sigma, DMAIC, FMEA, SPC, etc.); write test reports and present results; support reliability improvement projects; perform DFR reviews by partnering with engineering and CMs to achieve key reliability goals; drive customer issues to resolution and provide reliable troubleshooting techniques; support customer requirements and requests; and drive and support internal quality system improvements.
